Welcome to Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do!

Grand Master Young Bo Kong

Welcome to Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do Institute. It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. So does the training of the Tae Kwon-Do student. When the student begins as a white belt, he begins his journey toward becoming a Black Belt. In the martial arts, the Black Belt indicates that the student has reached a high level of excellence. Not all students aspire to become Black Belts; however, as in all things, it is the journey that is important, not just the destination alone.

Students enroll at Young Brothers for various reasons; some to gain self-confidence or self-discipline, others for physical fitness benefits, and still others for purely self-defense. The truth is you will receive all of these benefits and much more if you make a commitment to Tae Kwon-Do and work hard to attain excellence at each of the belt levels.

The ultimate goal of Martial Arts Training is to achieve physical, mental and spiritual harmony. Tae Kwon-Do aims to achieve courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit and modesty.

Grandmaster Kong and all Young Brothers students lost a great person and great TKD Master.  Grandmaster Kong lost great student and friend. I’m very saddened by it.

Congratulations to Master Nicholas Okwiya for his performance on July 2nd. Master Okwiya won first place in the lightweight division of World Class Sparring at the 2022 USA Kukkiwon Tae Kwon Do Expo.

Matches consisted of two, continuous, 90 second rounds using the Olympic-style electronic scoring system and rules.

Keep up the good work, sir!
